Rules for Inserting Data into the Application
Inserting data into the table follows the following rules:
- In the application, the user must have the table in edit mode and the cursor in the row and column where data insertion will begin.
- The number of copied columns and rows from the external source must match the table in the application. You can paste either the entire table or only selected column(s). If the number of rows or columns in the external source is less than or equal to the number of columns in the target table in the application, the data will be successfully transferred. If not, you will be alerted with a toast message "The number of rows in the original table exceeds the target table. The table cannot be copied." and no data will be inserted.
- If a field already contains a value, these values will be overwritten by the paste action (CTRL + V).
- If a value is inserted into a field with a drop-down function, it must match exactly one of the values in the drop-down menu. If such an option is not available or if there are multiple options, the field will be empty and outlined in red.
- The table format must be adhered to (e.g., if inserting unloading times - the format hh:mm must be followed). In case of incorrect format, the fields will be empty and outlined in red (in error state), and the values will not be filled in.
- All spaces and non-printable characters at the beginning and end of each value inserted into the application are removed before the paste action.
- If the target table in the application has one or more fields in read-only mode (grayed-out fields), the copied values will be ignored. If there are any values in a field in read-only mode, they will not be overwritten.
- Checkboxes can also be filled by insertion; you just need to have a column prepared in the source file with the value 'x'.
